CPVC Transition Union — 1-1/4 in. Metal Thread — Spears FlameGuard™ — 4259-012BR
The Spears FlameGuard™ 1-1/4 in. CPVC transition union provides a secure connection between CPVC piping and metal threaded systems in wet fire sprinkler applications. Manufactured from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it combines corrosion resistance with long-term reliability. The metal threaded insert allows direct connection to metallic system components while maintaining a watertight, code-compliant joint. The CPVC socket end joins to pipe using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement for a permanent seal. This union design permits easy system maintenance and disassembly without cutting pipe. UL Listed and FM Approved, it meets NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D requirements and is rated for 175 psi and 150°F.
Follow Spears FlameGuard™ installation guidelines for pipe cleaning, solvent cementing, and assembly. Apply CPVC-safe thread sealant to the metal threads and tighten within recommended torque limits. The transition union provides a corrosion-resistant, serviceable, and UL/FM-approved connection between CPVC and metal systems in residential and light-hazard sprinkler applications.
