The Spears FlameGuard™ 2 in. CPVC transition union connects CPVC piping to metal threaded systems in wet fire sprinkler installations. Built from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it delivers strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability. The precision-machined metal thread insert ensures a tight, secure connection to metal components. The CPVC socket end joins to pipe using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement, forming a durable, watertight bond. The union design allows for convenient system service or replacement without cutting pipe. UL Listed and FM Approved, this fitting meets NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. It is rated for 175 psi and up to 150°F, suitable for residential and light-hazard systems.
Install per Spears FlameGuard™ recommendations for pipe preparation, cementing, and assembly. Apply CPVC-safe thread sealant and tighten to recommended torque limits.
