Spears FlameGuard CPVC 1 in. Fire Sprinkler Pipe

Constructed of corrosion-resistant CPVC – Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride - thermoplastic for use only with Spears FlameGuard fire sprinkler products, this orange CPVC fire sprinkler pipe is to be used in fire sprinkler piping systems to allow for proper water flow.

This CPVC pipe is 1 in. in size and can be used when installing a new fire sprinkler pipe system or as CPVC extension or repair pipe. This fire sprinkler pipe is available at 1 ft. (12 in.) and 5 ft. (60 in.) in the following sizes:

3/4 in., 1 in., 1-1/4 in., 1-1/2 in., 2 in.

This fire sprinkler pipe is made in the USA by Spears, a California-based manufacturer of plumbing and fire sprinkler pipe fittings with over 50 years’ experience. This pipe has a working pressure rating of 175 PSI at 150F (65C). It is intended for use in light hazard NFPA 13 occupancies, residential NFPA 13R occupancies, and home fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13D, when approved by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction. This product is UL, FM, and LPCB approved.

Spears FlameGuard CPVC fittings should only be used with Spears FlameGuard pipe and joined using Spears FlameGuard cement or approved no-cement fittings. Intermixing CPVC brands can void the manufacturer’s warranty or pose a serious fire hazard. Spears FlameGuard CPVC 1 in. Fire Sprinkler Pipe Warnings and Other Information

DO NOT expose Spears FlameGuard CPVC Fire Sprinkler Products to edible oils, esters, ketones, or petroleum-based products, such as cutting oils, packing oils, traditional pipe thread pastes or dopes, and some lubricants. Do not store or install CPVC products in direct contact with plasticizer containing materials such as electrical tape or certain wire and cable insulations. Consult with the chemical manufacturer for compatibility with CPVC or Spears before use. Contact with incompatible chemicals could cause serious personal injury, property damage, and product damage.

Spears FlameGuard CPVC Fire Sprinkler Products should be stored indoors with a maximum storage temperature of 110° F (43° C). If storing outdoors, the products must be covered with a non-transparent material to prevent extended exposure to sunlight. Brief exposure to direct sunlight on the job site may result in color fade, but it will not affect the physical properties. Spears FlameGuard CPVC Fire Sprinkler Fittings should be stored indoors in their original containers to keep them free from dirt and to help reduce the possibility of damage.

Spears FlameGuard CPVC Fire Sprinkler Products must no­t be subjected to prolonged sunlight exposure. The use of pipe and fittings that have been damaged due to improper storage could cause serious personal injury, property damage, and product damage.
