The Tyco AV-1-300 Alarm Check Valve is engineered for use in wet fire sprinkler systems, combining dependable one-way flow control with alarm signaling capability. This model features a 2½ inch flanged inlet and a grooved outlet, along with a ductile iron body rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 PSI. It helps ensure reliable fire protection by preventing reverse water flow and activating an alarm when system water begins to move.

Designed for versatility, this valve supports both horizontal and vertical installation, provided proper orientation is followed. For horizontal installations, the drain connection must face downward. For vertical installations, water must flow upward through the valve. This flexibility allows the AV-1-300 to accommodate a variety of system layouts without compromising performance or compliance.

When water flows forward with sufficient force, the internal clapper opens and allows water to pass into the sprinkler system. At the same time, a portion of this water is diverted through an internal bypass trim to a hydraulic alarm bell or pressure switch (not included). All auxiliary connections on the valve, including the alarm line, drain, and gauge ports, are NPT threaded for compatibility with standard fittings and accessories.

The ductile iron body offers superior strength and long-term durability, while internal corrosion-resistant components help reduce wear and extend service life. All internal parts can be accessed for maintenance without removing the valve from the piping system, which simplifies inspections and routine servicing.
